a mid summer's daydream

summer,
you encase my hair in daises (insects); you sight me dancing (writhing) and chanting (screaming). you give me feathered (leathered) wings (tumours). we are writing ourselves into the creases of your bedsheets, and you note the cracks in the creases of my vertebrae. my pining spine; you sew them back together with your mother's rusted needles and your father's patchwork stitches. with spindles of yarn encased underneath the fabric my skin, you begin to sing of her, "dear darling nights of summer, your darling days less sweet; your songbirds stopped singing, my summer, (they peck at snow white feet)."

  1. I know I probably say this about all your pictures but these are absolutely beautiful - the first one is my ultimate favourite. Gorgeous tones and really abstract-y!
